Her grandmother Sindhu Pohankar was a stage actor. Hindustani music maestro Pandit Ajay Pohankar is her uncle. Her younger sister Nivedita is a playwriter.She had acted in the Hindi film, ‘Love Sex Aur Dhokha’, directed by Dibakar Banerjee.
